Scrying Over You: In the end, the magic’s not in the physical tool. It’s in you, and you can start out with some simple household or inexpensive items. So feel free to use an old, black coffee cup filled with water as a scrying pool. But once you start using it for that, it’s probably best not to also use it for your morning coffee. The first step in scrying is perceiving the spiritual aspects of the world. The second (and often more difficult) part is being able to understand what you see, and interpret what it means back here in the everyday. (Patheos)Good advice and insights on scrying. Something I've tried, and continue to explore, and I agree with the author that it's not all about distinct and dramatic pictures -- like a movie -- but something more subtle. I also like the advice that anything can be used for scrying; a bowl of water, etc. It's fun as well as comforting, for myself, to use mirrors (especially if you made them yourself) but not necessary. Also not necessary to use a crystal ball, which, depending on the size, can be very expensive. It's not always about the tools, but it is always about you, your intentions, and your relationship with the spirits.

Copper Wrap Blue Chalcedony Pendant
Copper wire wrapped blue chalcedony pendant with sunstone. Comes with beaded cord in a pretty blue bag, with informational card on meanings and use.
This is on my Etsy shop.
Blue chalcedony has a beautiful sky blue color that I find very calming and soothing. This stone is good for facilitating balance and getting rid of negative energy. It is also excellent for use in work activating psychic awareness.
Sunstone is a "good luck" stone attracting prosperity. It's a good stone to help you achieve goals, and helps with confidence and inner strength.

Unveiling the Hidden Psychic Messages in Your Tarot Readings with Sherry (Part 1) | Biddy Tarot Blog
I like this three part article from Biddy Tarot, on accessing the psychic side of self and tarot. Sometimes we ignore little nudges and signs as being irrelevant. Doreen Virtue says just say "Bleh!" meaning, whatever comes to you, no matter how much you're second guessing yourself or how "silly" it may seem, use it! Of course this applies to oracle (non-tarot) decks as well.
Unveiling the Hidden Psychic Messages in Your Tarot Readings with Sherry (Part 1) | Biddy Tarot Blog: A common misperception about psychic phenomena is that it’s really obvious – just like in the movies. However, did you know that psychic phenomenon is incredibly subtle on most occasions? In fact most people, when confronted with psychic occurrences, dismiss it as ‘oh it must have been my imagination’ or overlook it completely simply because they didn’t know what they were looking for. In this three-part blog, I’m going to show you how to know when you have psychic elements occurring in the tarot reading you are doing for yourself or someone else. (Biddy Tarot)
